Did anybody hear about the movie 'The conversion'? Was playing in the movies halls near me, but I was out of town and tough to find company to go to movies. Hoping it comes to Zee5 or something soon.

Interesting take on Archies  I recall we used to read comics like Super Commando Dhruv, Nagaraj, chacha chawdhary, etc.. and rich folks used to read and buy Archies, which was 3-4 times the cost of desi comics and I never understood it anyway, all the American teen content.. I may still not get after living for almost 2 decades in the US. |

Interesting take on Archies I recall we used to read comics like Super Commando Dhruv, Nagaraj, chacha chawdhary, etc.. and rich folks used to read and buy Archies, which was 3-4 times the cost of desi comics and I never understood it anyway, all the American teen content.. I may still not get after living for almost 2 decades in the US. I used to grab whatever libraries used to offer. (we used to have guys deliver comics and magazines on rent) Archies followed indrjaal comics and Amar Chitra Katha. I did like the characters, though didn’t follow it after 10th. My richer cousin thought Archie was too downmarket or kiddy compared to Tintin and asterix. I have just read a couple of those. But now, would go back to ACK. My first visit to US was a small town Columbus GA. When I went there, I called it Riverdale. Will check out the take, which seems to be far more entertaining than the movie. |

Saw a part of Bachchan Pandey on Amazon prime. The poorly copied tune from Good bad and ugly repelled enough to not go past initial minutes.

Another Samir Lhan movie- Laal Singh Chadha. I can foresee sardar jis protesting against it which shows Sardaarji as a Yeda. Abd it is bound to mage fun of Hinduism.
Wokepedia says “The adaptation of Forrest Gump, underwent a series of changes over a period of two decades, with Atul Kulkarni spending the first ten years adapting the script, and another ten years purchasing the remake rights.”
20 years for copying a movie.. that should maur it to Guinness book of world records. Or has the team run out ifbideas to make fun of Hindus.

I feel people are more averse to such movies now.. mainly due to anti-Hindu statements and the classic one from Kareena Kapoor saying why watch our movie if you have a problem with it.

I missed watching Rocketry in the cinema hall. Now it's gone from theatre and not available in Hindi on OTT. Apparently releasing in Hindi on Voot, which I have not heard of before.

Tweets are quite funny. They are more entertaining than his movies. EC Swami’s aatma will be santusht that his boycott call for Amir khan has seen the light of the day. So far only one major sardarni seems to be upset by a sardar being a low iq. Monty panesar. |

I have completely lost interest in Bollywood movies now. Mostly because of arrogance of Bollywood actors. I watch Hollywood though.
