Thought to put this in Indian Poitics, but Indian politics has become global now. Rather Modi Baiting. Rana Ayub and Barkha Dutt write for Wapo.
Anyway, Way back when I joined EC in 2007, Wikipedia was run by Hindutva folks. I was hoping to draw attention to a pro Khalistan article from Echarchams when I joined.
Now, wiki is all left. Aryan invasion theory has been renamed ‘indi European migration’, prayagraj us called Allahabad and do on. On US articles too it is quite anti trump (like many here though).

I feel left or right both sides need to get this, that too much of propaganda or trying to thrust one's opinions on others has a counter effect. Similar thing is happening with wokes. Sudarshan TV (favorite of some echans for comical relief) has had the same effect on the right side, overexaggerate and find that people stop listening.

What do you think of WION? They never call COVID as COVID, instead they say Wuhan virus  Palki Sharma Upadhyay, the main anchor, reads news like legit opinions, without any hesitation .. like giving "gyan" with "facts". Most of the stuff is okay, but of course catering to the Indian Right. She does have a very unique way of presenting these opinion news videos. |

Great to find one doesn’t need to log in to post. Haven’t seen Sudarshan news in a while. Have seen Wion also sparingly. Other than updhyay, it seems reasonable when other anchors are there.

The way it works is- Right wing statements appear like an obvious propaganda with lot of enhanced and misleading facts. Left wala works with finesse. Example is that Chinese village in Arunachal. All the facts are correct - China is building a village - it is in Indian Territory - Modi Sarkar is doing nothing about it. What is missing is that China has been occupying that since 1959 and not occupied and new area. Coming to Wikipedia, found that RSS is listed as a paramilitary organization and one editor finds many sources citing the same. Now it is probably the only paramilitary organization which uses sticks as weapons. |

Don't know which one to trust, both sound plausible, although I have heard Hari+ayana previously. There are no experts on such stuff, all depends on who you speak to. |

I have started providing feedback on google searches saying that Wikipedia is unreliable and as far as possible do not click in Wikipedia results from google searches. It seems to be slowly working. Wiki has started moving down on search results. A couple of times Britannica shows first. Not sure how far it will go with google being another woke platform.
